"For whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth..." - Hebrews 12:6
God's correction is often misunderstood. It has been perverted by some teachers to such an extent that Christians become paranoid that they are always being punished by an angry God. It has been taught that God does not discipline believers because all of His anger was laid upon Jesus at the cross.
Which is it? We need to understand what Hebrews 12:6 is saying because the chastisement of the Lord is very real and very important in a believer's life.
